This gift is for one of My Mentors and I thought it very appropriate for him. The only thing is I wish the engraving could have had some color to stand out a little. It's a bit hard to read in person. You have to tilt it just right.

Bought this as a gift, first one was broken when received. I called customer service and a very nice lady got me a replacement one out the next day. Second one got to me in plenty of time and it was beautiful- my son loved it and now it sits in his new office. Thank you for making this gift special.

I think the hourglass is beautiful. I was very disappointed in the size of the font. It is very small, and I really have a hard time reading what it says. Perhaps if it was in a color other than white and a bit larger, that would be good.

This was a retirement gift, he loved it, I wish the print would’ve been darker or a little bigger but overall it was nice

Bought this for my mum's office and like everybody commented, the text is a little faint. However, the idea is really nice and still worth every dime.

My 25 year old son loved it so much that he requested a second one as a gift after his first fell and broke. It's useful as well as sentimental and comes in a lined gift box. Personally, I wish the words stood out a bit more, but my son likes it the way it is.

Overall, it's nice. I wanted to buy something personalized for my mom. She liked it. Other than it being overpriced....it's nice.

The hour glass was beautiful the sand pure, I just wish the engraving had popped out a little more, when I first saw it I thought there was no engraving, I had to turn it around a couple of times before I saw it. In the picture it shows up beautifully but without the dark background it does not.

Is smaller than it appears to be in the photo.

We ordered these items as a thank you for a group of associates who had been volunteering their time on a committee. Beautiful end result, however, they are larger than we expected so be sure to read the detail on the size. We were thrilled with both the price and the way the personalization turned out. We would buy again!

I was pleased with the look and personalization of this hour glass. It arrived in a nice black box ready to give. It would be nice to get a person's favorite colored sand along with the personalization. I love it.

I enjoyed giving this to my dad but would of like to be able to inscribe something more personal. I am assuming you are limited due to the curving of the script. It still was a very nice gift.

A must for any desk or any high interest area ... an eye catcher. Four out of Five Stars only because I would have requested the etching be done on both sides (top/bottom) of the hour glass.

The gift was simple, yet sentimental. I love the quote imprinted on the product. Although the product was a lot smaller than betrayed, it was a great gift.

Super speedy delivery! For the most part I am pleased with the hourglass. I am concerned about how thin the middle is. I hope it makes it to the wedding and their first anniversary. I wish the names and quote were darker. Looking at them on the website pic and what you get are not the same. I'm wondering if I can some how color in the words to make them stand out. Otherwise to read the saying you have to hold the glass at an angle and in the right light. I will consider ordering again. Great ideas/products to choose from. Just not 100% pleased with what I ordered for the money.

I ordered this for two of our coworkers who are retiring soon and everyone loved them. They are simple and elegant and make a wonderful gift. The hourglasses were engraved properly and delivered so quickly I was stunned. Thank you.

Had this gift personalixzed for one of the attorneys I work for - his birthday was yesterday. He loved it! Only thing I can say is that the writing in white is a little hard to read but otherwise - it is perfect! thank you!

very elegant

The product is exactly as it is described, comes well packaged and everything. However, once you open it up and look at it, I felt the product could be better. For Instance, the name and the words only appear on one side of the glass, so when you flip it around, it just looks a little weird. Out of place.

The White sand is a great touch, but the glass feels like it could easily break, it is not something you can comfortably put on your desk or table, it is just for show.

The hour glass is a nice size. It is very simple, but elegant! Perfect to display in an office for male or female. The verse is a bit smaller font than I expected, but it is still very nice.

I thought the personalization part of the hour glass should've been bigger and/or across the top instead of as part of the phrase. Also, I was VERY disappointed in the timing of the delivery. I ordered it on Dec 15th (and paid a lot for speedy delivery) and it didn't arrive until late on Christmas Eve. I had already left my house so I didn't have the gift to give my brother on Christmas. Otherwise, the item is a really cool idea and I generally like it.

We ordered this as a retirement present for a long-time doctor. It's as pretty as in the picture, I only wished the name could be in both Capital and small letters like the rest of the engraving. Also I added a comma after his name to make it read as one sentence.

My Boss loved this - he spends a lot of time with his patients and I mean A LOT! the only thing I wished is if the writing could have been a different color so it could have been seen. that is why I gave it 4 stars, otherwise it's a perfect gift.
