The box was beautiful. The option to personalize it on all sides was unique.
I would’ve given it 5 stars, however it was not delivered on time for Mother’s Day due to the current circumstances. That took away from the moment. But Mom loved it. So all is well.

This box was personalized as a gift for a different occasion (not for mother) as it allows for lots of space for personalization - which the occasion called for. When the recipient opened the gift, the look on her face said it all. She lit up in a great smile and was so very happy that all the important aspects of her special day were acknowledged in the personalization. As others admired the box, they unanimously agreed that this was a "GOOD" gift! The quality of the top and side wood is beautiful and the construction and personalization are excellent. I would have rated this gift with 5 stars; however, I was disappointed in the quality of the masonite bottom of the box. I understand that masonite provides stability, but this particular piece was blemished. Such a beautiful box deserves a higher quality bottom so the box would be entirely perfect.

The box was pretty much as described. I deducted a star because of the cheap looking base(as one of the other reviews also noted), which took away a little from the overall workmanship of the box. I glued on some nice looking designer paper to make it up. But overall the box looks great, the inscribing came out real nice. I recommend this as a good buy for the price (specially since I got it as a groupon deal)

It is a nice item, my wife liked it a great deal. However as other reviewers have mentioned the bottom is made of some kind if cheap particle board whereas the rest is made of much nicer wood. Consequently the bottom really sticks out.

I bought three of these boxes to give as gifts at our rehearsal dinner to my mom, mother in law and grandmother. They loved them! The engraving was great and the quality of the wood was very nice. I took off one star because the bottom of the box is a sort of thin particle board and does not match the quality of the rest of the box..but still a nice gift.
