Ordered this for a soon-to-be 13 year old girl in her favorite color. It's very lightweight/thin (which is what I wanted) and super soft. She's going to love it! Color is true to the preview photo. I was unable to upload a picture of the blanket I got, so used the preview photo which it very close to the real item. It seems like there is a little less of the gold "sparkle" than in the preview photo but that is fine.

I bought one of these blankets almost two years ago when my aged mother was in a group care home. The ladies were always disagreeing about who owned which lap blankets, so I got one with her unique name--Ollie. She moved on to a nursing home more than a year ago and her blanket has been laundered at least weekly for those years. It is still beautiful. I bought this new, bigger one for her roommate, who will use it on her bed rather than on her lap. I know she will be thrilled. These may seem pricey at first glance, but they are worth every penny!

I was pleasantly surprised at how soft the blanket was. I ordered 6 of this style for the littles in my family. I think they will love them. My only wish was that the first letter of the child's name could be capitalized as shown in the some of the pictures. Otherwise this gift met my expectations.
