The picture is matte not glossy. If it's stated as such then I missed it. Having said that, it wouldn't be a deal breaker at all. The mugs are a nice size, the picture came out very nice, shipped in bubble wrap for protection and arrived fast. The mugs are a gift and I'm sure will be appreciated.
