What does a single retired grandpa get his first grandchild for her 2nd birthday?
I thought about a cash gift, but now she's 2 and building connections and memories were my objectives, plus cash flow isn't what it used to be, so price was important. I felt she was too young for jewelry but looking at that led me to this Jewelry box. Price point was perfect and although I was skeptical of the high ratings my time was running out. I specified expedited delivery and had it in hand 2 days later. Packaging was secure arriving in the same condition it was sent. The flawless mirrored box is an eye catcher and like all curious 2 year olds I imagine many hours of her discovering herself. Opening the box, chimes play and the ballerina twirls; I expect it will capture her interest with awe unlike she had with all of her mass produced toys. My two older sister weren't at the party so I showed the box to them ahead of time and their only comment ... Grandpa, you picked the perfect gift for her.

It is more beautiful than I expected!I was afraid the engraving wouldn’t stick out, but I was wrong, it’s beautiful ! I would highly recommend this jewelry box! First off the jewelry box is stunning! Well made and beautifully inscripted. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the ballerina. It is a very cheaply made piece of flimsy plastic and no face on it. Too bad.
