Sandblast takes a digitally printed positive (black and white transfer of the artwork), and exposes that to a light-sensitive material, to create a “MASK.” Areas of this mask that were exposed to the light are hardened, and the areas not exposed (because of the positive) remain soft. These masks are then applied to the item we wish to decorate, and each item is carefully hand blasted. The grains of sand dissolve the soft material, and blast away part of the actual product. These grains of sand are so fine, it gives the surface a soft, polished look.
