I was at a loss as what to get my fifteen year old grandson for his confirmation when I saw this Navigator Compass. I was so pleased when it arrived... it was beautiful! It made the perfect gift for him!

Needed a communion gift but wanted to give something really nice knowing others were going to give a monetary gift. When we received this beautiful compass it came in a very nice gift box, when we opened the box I was very pleased at the workmanship and how beautiful it looked right down to the engraving, my god son is going to love this for years to come.

The color of the mahogany is really more of a black. At first I thought they had sent the black version, but since it had the gold insert, it must be mahogany... Also, it arrived with a minor flaw in the top.

It turned out great. I gave to my boy for his graduation. It will be a heirloom he will have for the rest of his life.

The compass is beautiful and exactly as advertised. The engraving is exactly as requested. The size is about half the size of a coke can, so a full sized compass.

The compass, engraving and case are beautiful! Not sure of the compass accuracy, if it is accurate or decorative. It is a gift for our confirmand. I am pleased with my purchase.

The item was absolutely perfect and priced well. But, to makes things even more satisfactory, I had to reorder due to a date change brought on by the corona virus and they changed the engraving for free, only asking me to pay the shipping which was fair and sincerely appreciated. They are a very respectable and highly reputable organization that I’d use again without question and recommend them to anyone. Hope this review helps them and also puts consumers’ minds at ease too b/c they are great

I was happy to see this item when it arrived, and my nephew thought it was a cool gift. The message is not so much "engraved" as it is "printed," but it was done well and my nephew liked seeing his name on the top plate. One note—As a gift, this little compass would benefit from a small decorative box. The little box it arrives in is covered in origin stickers and bar codes, that—when peeled—destroy the box. I had to put this in a nice box so it would be presentable as a gift. The little cardboard box would be fine, but maybe PM should consider leaving the stickers off. Also, I was a little bummed to pay about $75 for this item and, upon returning to write a review, discover that the price had dropped to $49 in that short time—whatever. Ultimately, I do recommend this item as well as this web site for nice gifts and good turnaround service. I merely offer the above as a little heads up to the next buyer. Cheers!

I was pleased with how this looked. I got it for my grandson's confirmation. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the compass itself looked more black than mahogany. The mahogany look is certainly in the picture but that is not how mine looked. However, the gold and engraving was right on and being a Boy Scout as well, it was a very appropriate gift.
