OK By Shopper (Grand Blanc, MI) - December 26, 2016 This is cute but too expensive at $25.00 Although today it's on sale for $18. I should have purchased a cheaper one and made my own sticker.

One problem By Shopper (Adkins, TX) - April 28, 2015 This was a gift for my 'hat loving" 4 year old grandson. It is very cute, name on the side, light on the front. My problem was putting the batteries in the light so it would be ready to go. There are 2 tiny screws under the lens cover. You remove them, take the (paper?) cover off to install the batteries. I could only remove 1 of the screws. Not sure how they could have put them on That Tight, & finally one was stripped. I loosened the paper-cover from under that screw & installed the batteries. Reinstalled the paper-cover with the remaining screw. I don't think it will present any problems; all is held in place by the lens cover. I was surprised that China could affix those tiny little screws with an 'impact driver' !! My son would not have had the patience to get the batteries installed. But Jack will love the hat.

Personalization By Shopper (North Royalton, OH) - August 20, 2011 I think that the construction hat is a cute idea. It will be a gift for my 1-yr nephew. The reason why I only gave it 3 stars is because I wish the name was on both sides of the hat.

Front heavy The product was very cute. However, when I put the batteries in the light, the front of the hat was so heavy it kept falling to the front. Even after adjusting it a little tighter, the front is pretty heavy for a little one to manage.

Just not thrilled By Shopper (Bohemia, NY) - April 1, 2021 Just not thrilled with this item the name is just a sticker (I could imagine my grandson pealing it off) I also think the name should be on both sides,, or a cute emblem on the blank side

Not worth price Cute hat for my sons construction birthday party, but unfortunately the light did not work at all. Not really worth the price I paid for it.

Construction Crew Helmut I didn't think the quality of this item was worth the price. I thought it would look much better for $18.99. Not pleased with purchase.

Poor "Construction"-pun intended By Shopper (mena, AR) - March 2, 2015 I was so excited to see this kid's construction hat! Perfect for my great nephew's birthday. However, when I received it I was very disappointed...it is very cheaply made and won't hold up to wear and tear. The concept is great but the manufacturing is a fail in my opinion. I did give it to my nephew and he does love it...so it wasn't a complete loss. Thanks!

SMALL I expected the name to be much larger across the hat.

Disappointed The hat is absolutely too large! My son can't use it. The sticker was coming off. Absolutely disappointed. The money spent, was completely wasted.

Not worth the money By Shopper (Union, NJ) - January 10, 2015 The hat is cute. It would be fine if it was 1/2 the price. The personalization is a sticker with the name typed on it. I was very disappointed

Not User Friendly This item requires 3 AA batteries which are not included. Proper installation of the batteries requires a miniature phillips head screw driver; also not included. The internal wiring is extremely fragile making battery installation difficult.

Front Heavy By Shopper (Plainfield, NJ) - February 15, 2012 I thought this would be the perfect hard hat for my two-year old, but unfortunately, this was too shallow yet too big at the same time. The most disappointing part was that especially with three AA batteries installed in the light, the helmet becomes way too heavy to be worn for long. It falls off the front of the head easily. Even with no batteries, the light creates an imbalance, so we ended up taking the light off. All-in-all, it doesn't seem to be made to balance on the head without effort. Wish it were not the case.

Great idea, but both broke first day First of all this is a great idea and the personalization was amazing. When my twins opened them and loved them I couldn't have been happier, but the light attached to the hat is not fastened well. One small drop to the floor and the cap and batteries fly out which poses a hazard. The red cap needs to stay on tighter. This is a toy and is likely to get dropped and it shouldn't be that easy to have the cap and batteries fall out.
