I know this might sound dirtier than I intend it to but the wood on this ornament is thicker, longer, and stronger than I assumed it would be. I was worried this would just be a frail bit of balsa wood but it is actually about 1/4 inch thick and about 4 inches long. And it is so pretty. The carving looks great. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to recognize their first year in their home.

I love this gift I got my husband. We just moved into a new house and I know he'all love it. It does have a strong hickory smell like a BBQ but it doesn't bother me.

This is a nice ornament to buy for a new home. As always the personalization is top notch. The only downside to this ornament is the size. I thought it might have been larger. But that does not take away for its cuteness.
