This gift was for my grandson's confirmation. He loved it and it was good quality both in the mahogany case and the engraving. I would purchase this again. In fact I have another grandson who will be confirmed next year and I am planning to give him the same gift if still available.

The compass and case were more "substantial" than what I was expecting! The adults all knew the significance of the compass and its meaning. Hopefully, our grandson will recognize the same as he gets older. Because the item is "substantial" I believe that it will still be around when David can appreciate that significance.
