The compass is beautiful and exactly as advertised. The engraving is exactly as requested. The size is about half the size of a coke can, so a full sized compass.

We ordered this for my brother's retirement. It is really nice. I thought that the actual writing was engraved, but it appears to be stamped in ink. It is still very beautiful. When we originally received it, the lid was just a tiny bit tilted. I contacted them and within 30 minutes they got back in touch with me and said they will ship me a new one ASAP. The next day it was mailed and since I originally paid for rush shipping, they had the new one delivered the next day and it was perfect. Customer service was amazing. I was at a loss as what to get my fifteen year old grandson for his confirmation when I saw this Navigator Compass. I was so pleased when it arrived... it was beautiful! It made the perfect gift for him!

Love the engraved Navigator Compass...only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the magnetized compass. It is not a geographical compass and I am afraid that the boys will not be able to figure out how to use this. I don't really understand it. But it really is a symbol of God's guidance in life.

I was pleased with how this looked. I got it for my grandson's confirmation. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the compass itself looked more black than mahogany. The mahogany look is certainly in the picture but that is not how mine looked. However, the gold and engraving was right on and being a Boy Scout as well, it was a very appropriate gift.
