The (one) picture led me to believe it was a more hard sided tote with a bottom. Like a tote style purse. But it is all fabric and lays flat and if you put a book in it, it would not stay open, the weight of the book would make it hang. Although it's not at all what I expected, it is just adorable. A little pricey for a flat canvas bag. But still just as cute as it can be.
