The frame is wonderful, the picture is clear, and the engraving is as expected. My issue was with the plastic insert that came with the frame. It's bad. It's this thin frosted material that takes away from the clarity of the image and makes it feel cheap. I went to my local CVS, bought a 4 x 6 frame for five bucks, and took the better quality clear plexiglass from that and put it into the personalized frame, night and day, and it looks much better, and clearer.

This was the 7th pet frame like this that I have ordered since 2009. For some reason, while the actual engraving into the wood is very nice, the rich dark brown color is not there. The inside of the engraving is the same light color as the rest of the frame. From a distance, it doesn't even show up.The two frames I ordered last year were a little on the light side, but not as disappointing as this year. Perhaps it is a quality control issue.
