I thought it would be metal but it's more like a shiny front side and a matte/stiff cardboard or corkboard like back surface. It looks very nice though and the recipient loves it. Nice workmanship and exactly as I requested.

Good but chipped

Loved the product, but it showed up damaged. The corner was chipping. So the white back ground shows it since the board underneath is brown it takes away from the actual picture. Disappointed since its a gift for someone else.
