Great for the Guy Who has Everything I bought this for a retired Navy friend of mine. Nowadays he works out of an office and I thought this would be a nice desk accessory. I had it engraved and was totally excited when I got the finished product. Even better? He loved it!

Great graduation gift I really love this. I got 2 as graduation gifts. The inscriptions looked great. The gold makes it elegant. The only thing I Didn't care for was the material and how it looks when it's closed. It's shiny fake, cheap looking plastic. Maybe a coding of something more wood, like or even a metal encasement. Looks like a makeup compact and with nothing on the outside written, it just looks weird sitting there. Overall good gift,I should look at the site pictures better be it's looks as it comes.

Very nice gift This is a very nice item with a good amount of space for your customized message. The only thing that prevented it from being 5 stars is that the size is underwhelming. The size is specified accurately in the description, but I'd suggest making sure you visualize those dimensions as the piece just feels smaller than I expected.

Valentine's win Being in a distance relationship, I thought this would be a neat idea. And it was. Apparently the craftsmanship was good and it felt solid. The only thing I will say is that my partner couldn't tell there was real wood underneath the lacquer. That was a little unfortunate, but overall it seems well made and was a big hit.

One problem is that the symbol for degrees (a small circle) could not be engraved. I don’t know why. It would have made the gift all the more meaningful.

Crooked placard I ordered 2 of these, got to me very quickly, a neat product, but both personal placards were crooked when it was adhered, otherwise pretty cool

Graduation gift for grandson I purchased this engraved compass as a keepsake gift for my grandson's high school graduation. The quality of the gift was good and received it quickly. My grandson thought it was a unique gift and liked it.

Not Exactly What I Had Expected The product arrived before expected. The engraving is accurate. My only complaint is it feels like cheap plastic and I ordered the mahogany compass and I got a black plastic instead.

Beautiful but does not look like wood By Shopper (San Antonio, TX) - November 23, 2020 Such a beautiful compass and I know the recipient will be ecstatic! However, there are a few things I feel should be noted. This said to be made of a dark wood with a high gloss finish, well it is certainly glossy, but it looks more plastic than wood. also the needle wobbles and bounces as if it is floating in water (this could be how compasses are made, I wouldn't know). Anyhow, the compass itself is still beautiful, and there was fast shipping so I am please enough for the discounted price I received.

Military going away gift Compass is nice size is ok could be an inch or 2 bigger. The material it’s made out of is a little too glossy, but this is a unique item wish they weren’t so tight with the characters count

My recipient's Initials were supposed to be on the engraving, the engraving and By Shopper (Ekron, KY) - June 29, 2020 I had thought I asked for my repient's initials to be above the engraved saying. Only the engraved saying was there. The box did look so pretty. Otherwise, things were fine, ad it got here in excellent condition. I will not return it, it has been given already.
