They are metal ammunition boxes.

I bought two of the larger size. One was harder to open than the other, plus, they have different info. on the back. (One has rear lettering the same colour as the front, and is left justified. The other has bright yellow/gold rear lettering, centred on the back.)

In the image I chose to add, please note that I added the accents myself, using a paint marker. Foreign keyboards are not compatible, when personalizing. The translation is “Made in Vietnam”.

I own an older jeep that looks like it just come back from the war. This is a great accessory. I can keep wrenches and other needed items in it and it seals perfectly. I don't worry about it being stolen when the top is off of the car, since my name is on it. I am going to buy another
